Our coal industry is driven by the markets overseas anyway- what would we replace the coal with in this country? Natural gas sounds good ,till you find they are destroying the water sources in the area of the new gas fields. Nuclear sounds good till you find NONE of the waste in this country has a long-term storage area. Might want to clean the coal fired plants as much as you can, but unless we all just got rich, we can't afford a lot of expenes (we'd have all new schools if we could).
